Yesterday the local paper published details of an extention to the hunting season this year under special conditions for the hunters to bring the number of rabbits under control as they are damaging the local citrus and vegetable crops.
The area's connected with this incentive are, Freginals, Santa Barbara, Ulldecona, Masdenverge, Godall and La Galera.
The hunters prefer to use cages to catch the rabbits so they can moved to areas where there are no crops.
So if you have a cat go missing, please check around for any cages in your locality. Hopefully if the hunters do catch a cat, they will release it unharmed.
